Supplier Quality Jobs: Supplier Quality Manager
My client is a multi billion pound chemical technology organisation, operating across the globe. Their name has become synonymous with advanced applications in pursuit of a cleaner environment. In order to help them meet their strategic goals over the next few years they are searching for a Supplier Quality Manager to guide the implementation of more harmonised global system for managing suppliers and quality issues. This system will need to meet the requirements of the internal standards and those of the customers. Typical responsibilities will be to monitor, evaluate and audit suppliers, as well as maintaining a culture of continual improvement in pursuit of excellence, and communicating the approach to customers and suppliers.
The successful candidate will be degree educated in a scientific or engineering discipline, with chemistry or chemical engineering being a distinct advantage. You will also be able to lead audits on site as a trained Lead Auditor in ISO9001, ISO/TS16949 and AIAG Core Tools. Your career background will be from automotive, chemical or similar. Developing and managing a supplier quality system is the core of this role so you will bring a strong track record in this area. Knowledge of Quality and statistical tools such as MSA, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, G8D, will be desirable, as will experience with Lean or EFQM.
This is a brand new role and has been created to drive this strategically important initiative.
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £52,000 plus great benefits
