Our client is today one of the world's largest producer and distributor in its specific market.
The company's drive for innovation and improvement has led the organisation to launch its own Continuous Improvement system over two years ago.
Based from the Ardennes region and reporting to the site Continuous Improvement Manager you will be responsible for delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives targeted at improving the overall performance of the Logistics department.
You will achieve this by providing expertise, coaching, direction and leadership for improvement activities to support the logistics department goals.
The main areas of improvement identified relate directly to Quality and Security issues. In terms of Quality, the end objective is to improve the level of service provided to customers. Security is an everyday focus to make sure all operators are working in a secure environment.
Other projects will place the selected candidate in a position to:
• Improve the quote cycle time and accuracy provided by the order desk to customers.
• Lead Kaizen projects to reduce the rate of damaged goods.
• Manage daily / weekly visual dashboards.
Experience Summary: As the preferred candidate you will exhibit strong Continuous Improvement characteristics with expert project management / coaching capabilities and technical understanding. You will be tenacious, principled and able to develop the site’s Logistics Continuous Improvement culture and process metrics. This is a significant challenge and you need to maintain a high level of credibility and resilience in the role.
You will be familiar to reporting to the CI site leader and focused towards constant improvement and development of resources to achieve the Logistics department and site’s targets. In this collaboration you will actively give help, make propositions, and provide advice to the business and Continuous Improvement Manager alike.
Ideally you will be:
• University educated to Degree level, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Quality Management or Business Systems.
• Showing a strong “Lean Spirit” and able to identify waste reduction projects.
• A Continuous Improvement expert wit
