Lean Deployment Leader
by Hamish Dunn on 13th May 2009
My client is a global life sciences company with a strong market reputation. It is currently a few years into a global Lean transformation focused on both manufacturing and non-manufacturing (transactional) processes.
As Lean Deployment Leader, you will be responsible for the implementation of Lean across 3 key European sites, 2 in the UK and one in mainland Europe. Reporting to the company's Lean Director and as part of the leadership team at each site, you will drive all Lean activities initially within manufacturing operations and then within non-manufacturing areas. You will be hands-on in approach, with the ability to both coach on the shop floor and present to the board.
You will have a track record in implementing Lean techniques in a large organisation, plus have been exposed to a Production System based approach. You will have experience coaching and training in Lean techniques at both a shop floor and executive level, plus be an influencer and credible at all levels of a company.
You will be able to take a systematic approach to re-engineering processes, rather than just run kaizen events to identify problems. Key metrics will be reducing lead times and increasing overall productivity, plus installing a sustainable structure for continuous improvement.
Candidates must already be located in and eligible to work in the UK to be considered.
