-Facilitate the ongoing programme of Continuous Improvement.
-Establish and develop effective cross functional teams, encouraging team working, co-operation and communication.
-Lead the process of education and training of operations personnel in improvement tools and techniques (eg. 5S, Problem-solving, Process mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Business Process Re-engineering, Lean Office, Lean Supply Chain etc).
-Coordinate the identification and delivery of improvement opportunities, developing improvement-based key performance indicators to enable progress to be measured.
-Ensure compliance to all Health & Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Experience Summary: -Experience of Continuous Improvement in manufacturing AND transactional environments.
-Graduate calibre with people-management or training experience gained within a fast-moving, high volume manufacturing/packing environment.
-Results driven with good leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
-Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
-Proven change agent with a passion for continuous improvement.
-Enthusiastic and creative approach to problem solving.
-Resilient, able to prioritise and work under pressure to deliver against tough deadlines.
-Able to challenge the status quo and motivate the teams to constantly strive for improved levels of performance.
-Familiar with modern manufacturing techniques to include Mapping, 5S, Six Sigma and Lean Supply Chain and Manufacturing methodologies.
-Experience in lead assessing, internal auditing, EFQM models would be desirable.
