Senior Programme Director – Automotive/Defence

As the Senior Programs Director, you will directly lead multi-functional program teams in Austria and Switzerland, with direct reports numbering approximately 26.
In addition, you will work alongside the Managing Director overseeing a matrixed organization of approximately 1200 people.

The Senior Programs Director is responsible for:

* Leadership of all ongoing Programs (total value of current programs is in excess of €2 billion), to ensure delivery on-time and within budget.

* Leading the bidding process for new Programs, in conjunction with Sales and Marketing, to ensure an order intake annually that meets or exceeds sales.

* Managing integrated Program Management teams in Switzerland and Austria.

* Working closely with the Managing Director (a peer-level executive), to ensure excellence in all operational activities.
Managing external partners, especially in-country producers of products.

* Implementing and developing standard program management best practices, structures, and systems, including leading the planned roll-out of a new Enterprise Program Management System.

* Supporting and leading Lean Management across the organization, especially in business processes.

* Driving cost reduction in our products and processes to enhance competitiveness.

* Driving talent management and succession planning.

* As part of the leadership team, drafting and executing ongoing strategies to develop the core business.
