The Operational Excellence Director leads and coordinates manufacturing performance improvement activities across a network of 14 factories in the region. You will be reporting into the Vice President for Manufacturing.
More specifically:
You will contribute to the operational and financial performance of the region through the rapid and effective deployment of the Lean programme.
You will challenge current performance and help identify improvement opportunities through the use of appropriate tools and methods including – but not limited to – in-depth performance assessments, internal and external benchmarks, etc…
You will personally support key transversal initiatives and/or key and complex productivity projects.
You will support, coach and develop the network of performance managers and – as their functional leader – give input to their performance assessment and talent rating.
You will nurture, refresh and complement the Lean approach in close co-operation with your counterparts from the Asia region and from the other business units.
My client has ended the first foundation phase and has now embarked on Deepening and Anchoring the programme, as well as introducing more strategic elements.
This will require you to have a deep knowledge of OPEX tools. The client is not interested in candidates who only have experience in 5S, for instance. You will need to understand how to squeeze maximum capacity from production lines by using your deep TPM knowledge. Six Sigma would be a very useful tool set to have for technical challenges that require a more focused approach. Flow optimisation will also be a critical component of your future success.
Do bear in mind that this position requires extensive travelling in the order of around 50%.
The client is happy to receive applications from all over the world although it must be stressed that your base will have to be in the Netherlands.
