My client is a leading chemicals company with sites across the world.
Reporting to the site Technical Manager or Site Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on the site improvement programme initiative, a master plan/road map specifically designed for the French plant, which is targeted at improving the overall performance of the company’s manufacturing and maintenance processes.
You will achieve this by providing expertise, coaching, direction and leadership for improvement activities to support the manufacturing goals, reduce maintenance costs and indirectly increase the customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have the full support of the site’s Technical Manager and of the Global Planning Manager, who are both very keen to deploy the Site Improvement Plan.
In this high-impact role, the selected candidate will be expected to help identify and lead multiple projects. Those main projects will aim to:
• Effectively reduce downtime of key production equipment.
• Reduce maintenance costs.
• Increase the production capacity.
• Reducing the direct cost of utilities.
A large share of the candidate’s activity will be to contribute to the development of the Site Improvement Plan across Calais facility. The candidate will form a key part of the site management team and join a management structure for the site in order to target site performance improvement through exchange of best practices on a group level; optimisation of teamwork and usage of existing competences (Group Technical Network).
Ideally the successful candidate is expected to bring extensive manufacturing, chemical industry a plus but not compulsory.
Once fully up and running, the successful candidate will manage and lead a portfolio of Improvement projects, ensuring they are executed in a timely fashion, within agreed cost, quality and scope. In order to succeed, the successful candidate will also be expected to coach embedded improvement resources and ensure they achieve their project goals.
