Managing Director – Automotive/Defence industry

The Managing Director will have approximately 1000 reports in Austria and Switzerland, including Production, Operations, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quality and Environment, Health and Safety.

The Managing Director is responsible for:

• The operational P&L performance across two sites.

• Setting direction, strategy, and overseeing execution of engineering, including both development and product customization activity.

• Managing effectively the plant operations in order to achieve excellence in execution according to the business plan.

• Support the site with Lean Manufacturing and Quality expertise to drive efficiency, quality and continuous improvement projects.

• Through engineering and production/supply chain initiatives, drive significant cost reduction in the business.

• Drive talent management and succession planning.

• Manage an integrated supply chain and purchasing organization.

• As part of the leadership team, draft and execute ongoing strategies to develop the core business.

• Provide support for all EHS matters.
