Synopsis

Bausch&Lomb is the trusted leader in eye health, with a 156-year heritage dedicated to perfecting vision and enhancing life for consumers around the world. Its core businesses include contact lenses and lens care products, and ophthalmic surgical and pharmaceutical products.

The Livingston manufacturing operation is recognised as the leading performer in terms of Quality, Volume, and Cost within B&L. This has been achieved through the application of lean thinking, which has delivered robust and efficient processes and systems.

This presentation shares our experiences of the highs and the lows, the challenges and the frustrations, but ultimately the benefits and rewards of implementing “Appropriate Lean Tools” in a high volume, highly regulated environment.
