Quality Companion 3 by Minitab® is a handy collection of ‘soft’ quality tools, organised into customisable roadmaps that makes designing, planning and implementing improvement projects easier and more efficient.

Quality Companion is a dynamic project management solution that helps you to easily complete all the tasks related to developing, organising and managing your project and lets you devote more time and energy to what matters most – the improvement process itself.

The product was updated on the 1st October 2009 to include a powerful tool for Value Stream Mapping (VSM), a primary technique used in Lean Six Sigma which helps businesses define the steps required to produce a product or service that meets customer expectations.

The backbone of Quality Companion is the Roadmap – an outline of all the steps in your project with links to the tools available to help with each one. You can use the Roadmap for Process Mapping, FMEA, CTQ Matrix, Brainstorm/Affinity Diagrams, Consensus Building, Cause and Effect Diagrams, and Meetings.

Quality Companion is also fully customisable so you can make it your own. Every component can be modified or created from scratch. Templates are provided for times when customising is not necessary, so you can begin new projects quickly and effortlessly. You can install Quality Companion on a network drive so that it allows everyone on your team to access vital project information quickly and easily, and the Quality Companion Dashboard utility lets you track all the improvement projects you are managing.
